Compensation is based on the type of WellMed partnership and may vary by market and practice logistics. Types of compensation include:
As an employed physician of WellMed, you may be eligible for a student loan repayment program created by WellMed for physicians recently out of residency▼.
Whether you are a WellMed employed physician or contracted physician, you can earn additional compensation for quantifiable results based on patient quality metrics. Each metric is assigned a weight, target percentage, and a point value and is measured against a benchmark. Quality metrics are measured and reported throughout the year and re-evaluated annually.
Our business model is physician-centric and primary care-driven, similar to an Accountable Care Organization (ACO). As an early adopter of the ACO philosophy, we have continuously demonstrated how our healthcare delivery system can work, reducing costs and improving care while also enhancing and even saving lives. The Medical Home model consists of a diverse team of highly qualified internists and family practice physicians, on-staff and contracted specialists, physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
