Patient Experience Week, which runs from April 23-27, is an annual event to celebrate accomplishments, re-energize efforts, and honor our outstanding team who impact patient experience every day— from our physicians and nurses, to our support staff and executive professionals, to our patients, families, and communities.

Patient experience not just about making our patients happy, but rather how we make our patients feel and how we deliver on what we promise: patient-centered care, every day, every time.

Medical Laboratory Professionals Week is celebrated from April 22-28 this year. According to the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science, approximately 300,000 clinical lab professionals work in this industry in the U.S.  Since the 1920s, lab professionals have “played an increasingly vital role in the diagnosis and prevention of disease” and are essential participants on health care teams.

Administrative Professionals Day is celebrated April 25th, and first originated in 1952 as Secretaries Day, although the recognition has grown to include all professionals that serve in this capacity that are the professional and administrative assistants in business office or medical clinic settings. These professionals today help to create the difference to ensure the tasks of endless paperwork and phone calls are completed throughout our clinics and offices here at WellMed.

These professional are at the forefront of WellMed and are often the first smiling face that is heard on the phone and seen when entering an office or clinic.  Administrative Professionals help to make the lives of the patients and the medical professionals in such a great difference to ensure the flow of the experience is exceptional, please help us celebrate and observe the great efforts that are provided by these professionals by thanking them on this day.
