A large crowd of patients, vendors and community leaders gathered Wednesday, April 29, to celebrate the grand opening of WellMed at New Braunfels.

The new clinic, located at 1037 State Highway 46, features four providers, an on-site lab, a procedure room, bilingual staff and expanded services designed to deliver high-quality care for Medicare-eligible patients.

Leading tours of the facility were lead physician Dr. Uyly Yukio, providers Dr. Benjamin Stevens, NP Angela Chamberlain and NP Sonia Reyes, and clinic administrator Maria Melchor.

Regional medical director Dr. Rafael Rodriguez and medical directors Dr. Fernando Valdez and Dr. Jesus “Chuy” Rodriguez joined the celebration, with NP Curt Aberle, vice president of clinic operations, serving as master of ceremonies.

Congratulations to the New Braunfels team on a successful opening and for welcoming the community to a clinic that will serve patients in Central Texas for years to come.
