This coming month marks several recognition celebrations for a few of our amazing WellMed clinical teams.

Throughout the month of November, we celebrate National Home Care Month and National Palliative Care Month.  From November 5 – 11 we celebrate National Radiologic Technology Week, and from November 12 – 18, we recognize Nurse Practitioner Week.

National Home Care Month and National Palliative Care Month

“Deliver Freedom” is this year’s theme for National Home Care Month.  78 million baby boomers will reach their golden years within the next two decades, and as our society moves from nursing home care to home and community-based care, we take this opportunity to applaud the efforts of our outstanding WellMed home care teams.

This year’s National Palliative Care Month’s theme, “It’s About How You Live,” speaks directly to how our WellMed Palliative Care teams compassionately tend to our patients facing serious illness.

National Radiologic Technology Week

Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen discovered the x-ray on November 8, 1895.  To commemorate this, we recognize our radiologic technology professionals “Positioning to Save Lives” from November 5 – 11 and the key role they play in our patient care operations every day.

National Nurse Practitioner Week

WellMed NPs are an integral part of our patient care operations.  Take this week to applaud the excellent care provided by our Nurse Practitioners (NP).  In collaboration with our primary care physicians and with a unique blend of nursing and medical care, WellMed NPs provide a full range of primary and acute high-quality, patient-centered care.

Celebrate all November with our Home Care and Palliative Care teams.  Take special time to recognize our radiology professionals during Radiologic Technology Week, and give thanks to our Nurse Practitioners during Nurse Practitioner Week.
