Megan Gillem, DO

I have always been passionate about health and wellness and I knew from an early age that I wanted to be a physician. I chose to specialize in family medicine because I love caring for patients of all ages, from birth through adulthood and every stage in between. Family medicine also allows me to care for an entire family unit, which I believe helps everyone in the family live healthier lives. I enjoy developing relationships with my patients, as this allows me to provide the highest level and most personalized care. My philosophy to patient care is to take my time and listen to patients. I also make it a point to communicate to my patients in terms they understand. I want patients to leave each appointment with a complete understanding of their healthcare and treatment plan.
As a family medicine physician, I treat patients for a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, including annual health exams, annual school and sports physicals, hypertension, diabetes, asthma, flu, strep throat, colds, upper respiratory infections, sinus infections and much more.
I was born in Lewisville, Texas, and grew up in Denton. I stayed in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for medical training, receiving my doctorate degree at University of North Texas Health Science Center College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth and completing my family medicine residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. I thoroughly enjoy working in Flower Mound and caring for patients in the community in which I live.
I live in Flower Mound with my husband and our two young sons. I enjoy spending my free time with family and friends, being outdoors and traveling.
