Biography

Dawn Gonzalez, DO, is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Born and raised in Wichita Falls, Texas, she grew up surrounded by physicians and nurses who cared for her mother, who was diagnosed with breast cancer. She fostered a great deal of respect and appreciation for medical professionals and decided she wanted a career that gave her the same opportunity to improve the lives of others.

Preventive care is a top clinical interest for Dr. Gonzalez, whose favorite part about practicing internal medicine is working closely with patients. She enjoys facing the challenges associated with treating complex medical conditions and strongly believes that respect, empathy, patience and the ability to listen are key components of exceptional patient care.

Dr. Gonzalez currently lives in Grand Prairie with her Boston terrier and her husband, a retired pediatrician. She is the proud mother of two grown daughters, one of whom is an attorney and the other who works in financial recruiting. In her free time, Dr. Gonzalez can be found attending music concerts, collecting sports memorabilia, traveling and building large Lego structures.
