Melanie Scott, PA

Melanie Scott, PA-C is a physician assistant. The former Aggie majored in nutritional sciences in didactics and premed. She is still a big fan of her Alma Mater. She went into clinical and academic research in infectious disease at the Methodist Hospital in Houston.
While working as a research assistant, she met a big influence, her former boss Dr. Olson. He guided her into the world of PAs. She was accepted into the PA program at UNTHSC in Fort Worth. After graduation, Melanie decided to dive into the world of psychiatry and practiced inpatient and outpatient psychiatry. She later transitioned into urgent care and family practice setting to diversify how she could reach others lives and provide quality healthcare infused with compassion. Melanie is a strong believer in being proactive in one's health rather reactive. She understands the frustration of trying to get ailments under control and wants to achieve that with you, as a team. When she's not submerged in medicine, she loves bass fishing, spending quality time with family and fur baby.
