Biography

Jodie Dejecacion, MD, is a family medicine doctor She believes it is important that patients understand the science of their condition and the selection of a treatment course. She wants her patients to take ownership in their health and view her as a guide and partner.

Dr. Dejacacion completed her residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Medicine and is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She chose family medicine because it balances the challenges of addressing acute health conditions with the nuances of guiding a patient in their best preventive care. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages and is intrigued by the full gamut of body systems, including the interplay of one's mental health to their physical condition.

Dr. Dejecacion truly finds the workings of the human body fascinating. The amount of knowledge scientists and clinicians already have and the continued exploration and discoveries that are being made in the field of medicine are astounding. Being a physician, ever-learning and applying this science and seeing its impact on her patients' well-being and longevity, has been a humbling and fulfilling journey.
