Sonia Reyes, NP

Sonia Reyes, NP, practices primary care medicine. She completed her training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Her care philosophy embraces joint decision-making and always being kind and honest with patients.

NP Reyes chose her career because she loves learning and is passionate about helping others in need. She enjoys medicine because she likes getting to know patients as individuals and forming relationships with them. NP Reyes chose family practice so she could help treat a broad range of conditions. Her favorite part of working as a nurse practitioner is having the opportunity to relate to patients of various cultures. She enjoys being able to speak Spanish with many of her patients.

NP Reyes is board-certified by the AANP. She was born and raised in Mexico and moved to the US when she was thirteen. She enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, son and a Bernedoodle dog. She also enjoys going to the movie theater and hiking. Clinically, NP Reyes particularly loves preventive care and enjoys helping patients manage diabetes and heart disease.
