Biography

Adrian Castaneda, MD believes the best approach to patient care is educating patients about their conditions and guiding them toward the right health choices. Family medicine is his specialty, which allows him to focus on a wide range of clinical interests.

Dr. Castaneda was born and raised in Havana, Cuba. He was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by his mother and grandfather (also doctors). Dr. Castaneda earned his medical degree at the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences of Havana and completed his residency in the McAllen Family Practice Residency Program. He is currently board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Helping patients and working with them to stay healthy is Dr. Castaneda’s favorite aspect of serving as an MD. He currently lives in McAllen, Texas, with his wife and three children. Traveling and spending quality time with his family are his favorite activities.
