Biography

Kirsten Cooper, MD, pursued a career in family medicine because she felt it was her calling. Her favorite part about being a family physician is her patients. Her care philosophy is to partner with her patients to serve as their counselor and advocate.

Clinically, Dr. Cooper is particularly interested in helping patients manage COPD, depression, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and migraines. She also places great emphasis on the importance of preventive care.

Dr. Cooper completed medical school at the University of South Florida College of Medicine and residency at the University of Kentucky. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Cooper was born and raised in Kentucky and Florida.
