The Economic Security Assistance (ESA) Department is dedicated to helping adults with Medicare secure extra financial help by assisting with the application and renewal process of:

Medicare Savings Program (MSP)

State program that helps pay for monthly Medicare part B premium (currently $185.00 per month). If approved, this could be a savings of $2,200 annually.

Low Income Subsidy (LIS)

Federal program that provides a discount on prescription drugs. If approved, prescription copays are no more than $4.90 for each generic / $12.15 for each brand-name covered drug. This extra help is estimated to be worth approximately $6,200 per year, according to the Social Security Administration.

Eligibility for these programs is based on income and asset limits.
