At just three years old, she felt drawn to medicine—curious about how the human body works and motivated by a simple but powerful idea: helping people feel better. Today, that early sense of purpose shows up in the way Dr. Eneyo practices Internal Medicine—thoughtfully, collaboratively, and with deep respect for each patient’s story.
While Dr. Eneyo knew early on that she wanted to be a physician, her journey into medicine was shaped by more than childhood ambition. As she grew older, her interest deepened through science and a growing awareness of how meaningful healthcare can be in people’s lives.
“I’ve always had a curiosity for science and the human body,” she says. Combined with her desire to help others, medicine became the clearest way for her to make a lasting, positive impact.
That sense of purpose continues to guide her work today, especially during moments when patients are navigating new diagnoses or long term health challenges.
Dr. Eneyo chose Internal Medicine because it allows her to see the whole picture. Rather than narrowing her focus to one body system or condition, she wanted a specialty that supports comprehensive, adult focused care.
“I chose general Internal Medicine because I didn’t want to focus on just one part of the body or one field of medicine,” she explains. “I wanted to have a holistic approach to treating my patients.”
Internal Medicine gives her the opportunity to manage chronic conditions, support preventive care, and build long term relationships—all while adapting care plans to each patient’s evolving needs.
Dr. Eneyo completed her medical education at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, where she built a strong foundation in clinical medicine and patient centered care. She then completed her Internal Medicine residency at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital in Tampa, Florida.
Her training prepared her to care for a wide range of adult health concerns while developing a calm, attentive approach in the exam room—one that emphasizes understanding before intervention.
Dr. Eneyo describes her approach as both collaborative and flexible. While she relies on evidence based medicine, she also looks beyond standard treatments when appropriate.
“My style of practice does not only include standard treatments,” she says. “I also like to incorporate lifestyle changes and natural remedies in my treatment plans.”
She sees care planning as a shared process, not a one sided conversation. By working with patients as a team, she helps ensure that treatment plans feel realistic, sustainable, and aligned with each person’s preferences and goals.
For Dr. Eneyo, trust begins with something simple but often overlooked: listening.
“Sitting down next to them and listening,” she says, when asked what matters most in building strong patient relationships.
During appointments, she makes a conscious effort to sit at the same level as her patients and minimize computer distractions. This helps create an environment where patients feel comfortable sharing concerns and asking questions—without feeling rushed or talked over.
Dr. Eneyo believes patients should feel confident and informed when making decisions about their care. Rather than presenting a single option, she often discusses multiple paths forward.
“I like to come up with more than one option for treatment and discuss what they would feel more comfortable with,” she explains. “So they understand this is their decision too.”
This approach helps patients feel more involved and invested in their health, while also building trust through transparency and choice.
One way Dr. Eneyo’s approach stands out is her focus on avoiding unnecessary medications whenever possible. She is mindful of polypharmacy and looks for opportunities to support health through lifestyle based strategies first.
“I try to limit how many medications a patient is on by pursuing lifestyle changes and natural remedies,” she says.
When medications are needed, she takes time to explain their purpose and how they fit into the broader plan for a patient’s health—helping patients feel informed rather than overwhelmed.
As an Internal Medicine physician, Dr. Eneyo treats adults ages 18 and older, with many of her patients being 50 and above. She commonly manages chronic and ongoing conditions such as:
Her goal is to help patients not only manage these conditions, but also feel better and more supported in their daily lives.
For new patients, the first visit is focused on understanding the full picture.
Patients can expect a warm welcome and a thorough conversation about their medical history, current concerns, and long term health goals. Dr. Eneyo takes time to understand how different aspects of a patient’s health connect and what matters most to them.
She also comes into each appointment prepared. Many patients share that they appreciate how familiar she is with their health history before the visit even begins, which helps make conversations more productive and personal.
Dr. Eneyo was drawn to her current practice because of its focus on quality over quantity.
“I love the quality over quantity model,” she explains. “I can focus on quality care and take more time for each appointment visit, rather than seeing 25 or more patients a day.”
That additional time allows for deeper conversations, more thoughtful care plans, and stronger patient provider relationships—something she believes is essential to delivering meaningful healthcare.
Collaboration doesn’t stop with patients. Dr. Eneyo values working closely with her care team to ensure patients receive well rounded support.
“We bounce ideas off each other and help each other with difficult cases,” she says.
This team based environment supports continuity of care and allows providers to draw on shared knowledge and experience when navigating complex medical situations.
Outside of work, Dr. Eneyo enjoys staying active and spending time with family. She likes outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, and pickleball, and she also enjoys traveling and trying new foods.
These interests reflect the balance she encourages in her patients—staying active, engaged, and connected as part of overall health and well being.
When asked what advice she gives patients who want to take charge of their health, Dr. Eneyo points to everyday choices.
“What we put in our bodies in terms of foods and beverages impacts our health more than anyone realizes,” she says. “Eating healthy is the first step in taking charge of your health.”
The most rewarding part of her work is seeing those efforts lead to real improvement. For Dr. Eneyo, success is simple: creating a treatment plan that helps patients feel better—and knowing they played an active role in getting there.
