WellMed at Pleasanton celebrates bigger, better facility

More than 100 people braved 100-degree heat on Thursday, Aug. 27, to tour the cool, modern interior of the newest WellMed clinic, WellMed at Pleasanton.

The clinic, conveniently located at 901 Palmer Lane, Ste. 101 in this South Texas community about an hour south of San Antonio, moved from a smaller location in town to a larger facility featuring signature WellMed features, including extra-wide hallways, slip-resistant flooring, no-glare lighting and plenty of free parking.

 

It has 18 exam rooms, an on-site lab and a procedure room. The staff can accommodate both Spanish and English preferences among patients and caregivers.

Lead physician Dr. Patricia Lane joined Nurse Practitioner Bianca Batchelor-Salazar and Physician Assistant Laura Mireles in welcoming guests. Regional medical director Dr. Jesus Rodriguez and Kimberly Medrano, director of San Antonio market clinic operations, also took part in the presentation.

Guests enjoyed music, a photo booth and light refreshments served by clinic staff. They toured the facility and learned about vendors and support services including the Economic Security Assistance Team and Caregiver SOS. Several lucky attendees left with raffle prizes, and everyone received a goody bag.
